These muffins boast a tender, fluffy texture, bursting with juicy blueberries and topped with a crunchy, buttery streusel that adds a sweet contrast. Simple to prepare using fresh ingredients, they’re sure to impress family and friends alike.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup fresh blueberries

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

2 large eggs

½ cup milk (room temperature)

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; fold in blueberries gently.

For the streusel topping, mix equal parts flour and sugar with cold butter until crumbly.

Spoon muffin batter into prepared tin, sprinkle streusel on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Use fresh blueberries for best flavor; if using frozen, toss them in flour first.

Customize by adding nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture.
