Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and slicing them thinly.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Combine the eggs one at a time with the creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gradually, alternating with milk.
- Add the prepared apples into the batter and fold them in lightly.
- Pour the batter into a greased round cake pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
