  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into four equal patties.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear patties for about five minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until soft (about five minutes).
  4. Sprinkle flour over onions; stir to create a roux. Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth; simmer until thickened.
  5. Return patties to skillet; spoon gravy over them. Cover and simmer on low for about ten minutes.
  6. Serve hot with additional gravy.
