1 cup water

½ cup sugar (granulated or alternative)

½ teaspoon salt

Optional fillings: fruit preserves, sweetened red bean paste, shredded coconut

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water while stirring until you achieve a smooth batter.

Choose your cooking method: steam or bake. For steaming, prepare your steamer; for baking, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

Pour the batter into mold(s) or the baking dish. If steaming, cover with cheesecloth; if baking, leave uncovered.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.
